...about New Mexico. We're actually moving to Truchas in a few weeks! We've rented an awesome old adobe there and will commence shoveling snow and making paintings. We already make paintings--but now we'll be "New Mexico artists."
Yay!
I believe I'll re-introduce myself to cross-country skiing as well.....

If you come to Taos, look me up!

Mon, January 15, 2007 - 4:38 PMHi Lisa, and thanks! I'll definitely look you up---I'll be in and out of both Santa Fe and Taos, seeking out galleries and, most likely, employment.

Re: I'm done dreaming....
Tue, January 16, 2007 - 12:28 AMHi Tony,
In my younger days, up in Oregon, Cascades, I cross-country skied all the time. Sold my skis, though, when I came down to San Francisco for art school. And then I just stayed in CA (for way too long but that's another story) --would love to hear recommendations for ski shops or flea markets, etc. where I can get re-outfitted at a good price. I used to ski on Trak no-wax and I loved them, versatile in all sorts of snow conditions. I'd probably lean toward no-wax again, but it's been many years, Undoubtedly ski technology has changed. Anyone have a favorite x-c ski resource?
Best,
